We offer online training for those teaching category A sports such as fitness, dance and personal training. To see if your sport is in category A please see our insurance scope by clicking here.
Assuming your sessions are two way i.e. you can see each participant and they can see you. You can have up to 30 people in one class or the ratio limit on your insurance scope whichever is the lower. For example a Zumba class would be maximum 30 participants but a Post Natal Fitness class would be 10 people. To see the coach to participant ratio for your sport/class please see our insurance scope by clicking here.
We will also provide cover for pre recorded videos, however this must only be available to your clients and can not be publicly posted on platforms such as YouTube.
Your clients should have been onboarded by you as if they were a normal face to face client i.e. PARQ form completed if you do this usually and any other additional checks you complete as part of your risk assessment.
Clients need to be UK residents unless agreed by us. If you have selected Worldwide cover as part of your policy for face to face training, this will not extend your cover to cover non UK residents unless agreed by us.
Before an online class starts you should ensure:
- Participants have checked the area they are working in and have ensured there are no obstacles or hazards
- Participants are fit and well to complete the class
- Any equipment being used by participants is being used in line with manufacturers guidelines
