We offer 3 categories of policies.
Coaches/Instructors – This will provide cover for an instructor or coach to train. This will provide cover for them to train any number of teams and is not linked to one team. This will provide cover if the coach was to be sued for causing injury to a third party, including a participant, or damage to third party property . It would provide cover for court fees, solicitor fees and compensation. Additional covers are also available for Personal Accident and Equipment cover for the named coach on the policy.
We also offer a Personal Trainer policy which offers the same cover as our standard coaching policies.
Players/Participants – This will provide cover for individual athletes to train. This is not linked to a team, and they can train anywhere within the UK or Worldwide if selected on the policy, and with any team. This will provide cover if the participant was to be sued for causing injury to a third party or damaging third party property. It would provide cover for court fees, solicitor fees and compensation. Additional covers are also available for Personal Accident and Equipment cover for the named person on the policy.
Teams – This is a policy designed for teams of athletes e.g.: Cheerleading teams. This will provide cover for the members of that team to train or compete together. This will also provide cover for the coach of that team; however, they will only be insured to coach the named team on the policy. This will provide cover if a member of the team or coach was to be sued for causing injury to a third party, or damaging third party property. It would provide cover for court fees, solicitor fees and compensation. Additional covers are also available for Personal Accident and Equipment cover for the members of the team that is named on the policy.
Depending on what it is you are looking for, depends on the type of policy you would insure under.
If you have a Cheerleading club, but there are separate teams within that club then multiple teams would be selected under the one teams’ policy and every member of that club/team would have the cover that has been selected. If you do have some individuals that move within the teams of the club, this is fine as they fall into the teams listed.
An example of multiple teams in one club is under 10’s, under 16’s, under 21’s etc. As these teams do not train or compete together then they would be classed as separate teams under the one policy. If, however you have multiple age ranges that all train and compete together, this would be one team.
If you are a coach/instructor and you insure as this, you can coach multiple teams as standard under the policy. This will provide cover for the named coach or coaches on the policy.
If you are a participant, you can train with any number of teams and the policy would provide cover for this individual only.
